Come ready to workout and have fun!  When entering and exiting the dojo, every student must bow in and out.  This is an expression of respect.  Before and after class, there is a formal bow-in and bow-out.  After which training will begin and end.

Shotokan is composed of three essential elements:  (1) Kihon (basics), (2) Kata (forms), and (3) Kumite (sparring).  Kobudo (weapons - bo) training is optional.

Students are encouraged to bring a towel and bottled water because there usually is a 5-minute break during each class.  Students may exit the dojo to use the restroom, drink water, etc. during that time.
